Today I Saw a Real Doll
Today I saw a Real Doll
I swear it was the strangest thing
Some memory had me smiling
As I glanced across the street
And met the eyes of a blonde
Who smiled back at meIt was nice
Then I saw the Real Doll
In perfect motion towards me
Holding the hand of her owner
She turned her head towards him and mouthedSomething, I could not hear
I was listening to Mew
And it sounded like “sirens”
Or maybe it was “silence”It was the weirdest thing
I was carrying a yellow plastic bag
A sixpack, twenty cans of tuna
And a freshly slaughtered chicken
It was FridayIt was awesome
